Will someone please tell me why it is 29 degrees and SNOWING in North Texas and like 50 degrees in London? All I wanted was a nice walk to the WCC so I could get my Roo Croissant Sandwich (with bacon), and I walk out, and it's snowing. And freezing. And I had to go back and change my shoes and put on a hat and then I had to hurry because breakfast ends at 9:45. And that is JUST WRONG.
That's it. Weather, you're on notice!!

ok, i've made it to london, but at the moment i'm just exhausted.
we always joke because houston streets are insane and have like five names each and you can't turn left in downtown. houston has nothing on london. most retardedly put together streets ever. we walked all over notting hill trying to get back to bayswater, which should be easy, but in the end we just got on the tube and went one station over. but whatever, i just saw cute english children in their little private school uniforms just like in movies so it's still happy.
it's about 4:30 pm here, 10:30 am in houston, and i haven't really slept since monday night in dallas. it was a very long plane ride and i am happy to be walking again.
i am so tired and their keyboards are strange here and i have a hard time finding the shift key, so i gave up on it altogether.
oh, and, fun fact: they have no tj maxx in the uk. but, they do have tk maxx. we were wondering, do they have a russ?

College is over now, right?

So, last night after I updated my life go a bit more interesting.

(Interesting is a relative term, though, so don't expect much.)

During my Janterm trip to London, we're going to have five days or so where we can do whatever want, literally, so a group of us have made plans to visit Paris. I've recently decided that in Paris, in order to have a complete experience I'm probably going to have to drink an expensive cup of coffee and smoke a cigarette. Anyway, here's where the actual story starts. I told this idea to my friend Zach, and he suggested that I should learn to roll my own. So I did.

The guys said it was really good, especially for a girl and a first-timer. And I'm not ever a smoker.

Then we counted down to Jake's 20th birthday and then I went home.

Today nothing much happened except that I kept falling asleep in IR and studied for my test tomorrow.

Other than that, we taught Carolina, the Spanish language resident, euphemisms for homosexuals and intercourse. Among the terms covered were fruitcake, fruity, fag, horizontal tango, mattress mambo, and "hippety dippety." I hadn't heard of it, either. I love the Jordan girls.

OH, and also, they just did a "fire drill" (aka ushering out everyone in the residence hall to do a drug/illegal stuff check). Made me miss The Office.

I missed the first 20 minutes or so, but whatever, I got the general idea. I would be really disgusted with this show, except that I thinking they're setting it up so Logan and Rory will break up. And, what? Lorelei is starting a relationship with Christopher? That is just wrong. Dah.

...I never realized how soap-operaish this show is until just now.

I think I pretty much agreed with the judges tonight, except I like Jeffrey's garment a lot more than anyone else did. I did NOT like the velvet or velour or whatever the bust was made of, but hey. I'm VERY happy with the outcome. Just that many more garments to admire at the season finale.

Okay, so Lost hasn't started yet, but only 7 days 'til season 3 and I'm excited anyway.

ANYWAY. School's fine, life's fine, I'm not getting as much sleep as I'd like, but that's nothing new. Test Friday, paper due Tuesday, but nothing big in my world. So there's that.

I'm almost done with the first week of classes! Just one more day and two more classes. They're all pretty good so far, minus the weird emo kid in my IR class. By the end of term, I'm sure he will have done enough stupid stuff for me to fill several entries with. Prepare to be amused.

My room is finally in order, I've got a pretty good routine in place, and plans to hang out with some hot ladies tonight. Mostly I've just been going to class, reading, and staring at my new hair.

Today I bought my first miniskirt in about two years. And with leggings in style, I'll probably actually wear it. I love Target. Also today, I got my first early birthday present! It's a camera. I love it. Expect pictures of things you don't care about.

On another note...
Um, Keith? I am VERY DISAPPOINTED. You were talented. You were charming. You were fun to watch. Like a good-looking Santino, but a bit more subtle. And Angela, although she has redeemed herself slightly with this challenge, is still annoying TO THE MAX and wears weird pants. And Robert disappointed me, but Kayne is still happy. A very entertaining episode over all.

I also just found out that both Hobgoblin AND Venom are going to be in Spiderman 3. Yet somehow, they actually plan to go through three of these movies without ONE appearance by Rhino. THAT IS DUMB.

So, I'm like infinity behind in updating my Livejournal like woah.

Let's see...since my last update I've visited Tennessee, started work, and seen X-Men three times. Those are pretty much the highlights.

Work mostly sucks, but it's been increasing in tolerability (is that a word?), so I'm trying not to complain much. In case any of you didn't get the news, I'm interning for the Fort Bend Museum. It's not as impressive as it sounds.

And today I ate breakfast, showered, watched Mythbusters, did nothing for a couple hours, and then got some Wendy's and the new Keane CD. It's pretty much incredible.
